The 2018 edition of the National Olive Oil congress will take place in Santarém on 7th and 8th June, as part of the first World Olive Oil Summit (WOOS), within the scope of the National Agricultural Fair.

As it is an event of great interest for discussing topics regarding the sector, the Congress will have various discussion panels such as “Market Approach”, “Olive Oil – Consumption Patterns in Gastronomy and Tourism”, “Challenges for Europe”, among others, Of particular note will be the presence of His Excellency, the President of the Republic, Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa and the European Commissioners, Phil Hogan and Carlos Moedas, respectively responsible for «Agriculture and Rural Development» and «Research, Science and Innovation».
