CEPAAL flies to Montreal for a huge promotional activity

From 2nd to 5th May, Canada is going to discover the flavours of Alentejo Olive Oil at an initiative by CEPAAL – Centro de Estudos e Promoção do Azeite do Alentejo (Centre for the Study and Promotion of Alentejo Olive Oil), including tastings, samplings and a pairing dinner, under the signature of chef Helena Loureiro.
This huge promotional initiative will start on 2nd May, when CEPAAL will participate in SIAL (International Food Salon) in Montreal. This is one of the most important food fairs for professionals in Canada, with 1,000 exhibitors and 18,500 visitors. During the course of the fair, between 2nd and 4th May, CEPAAL’s stand will be offering tastings of olive oil produced by dozens of producers from the Alentejo.
Thanks to a partnership with the renowned chef, Helena Loureiro, on 3rd May, Alentejo Olive Oil will inspire a six-course dinner in the restaurant Helena. Helena Loureiro put Portuguese-inspired gastronomy on Montreal’s gastronomic map, which besides Helena has the restaurants Portus360 and Cantinho de Lisboa.
Canadians will also be able to taste Alentejo olives oils at a sampling initiative open to the public on 5th May between 11 am and 4 pm, at Cantinho de Lisboa.
CEPAAL’s member producers identified Canada as one of the strategic export markets.
